  My wife and I visited Nina June for the first time and left very disappointed. The nice atmosphere was much the same as the previous restaurant, Salt Water Farm, which we loved. We arrived on Friday night at around 8:00 and found out they were out of bread and several of the main courses. Although the wait staff were very pleasant, the kitchen was painfully slow, even though we were only one of two tables being served. Our salads and main courses were interesting and well prepared, but the desert...a sickly green colored creme caramel, served in a small glass container, was one of the worst desserts I've had in a long time. The last straw was the French Press coffee, that was so weak it looked like tea (and yes, I did wait a long time before pressing). Sorry folks, we will not return.

  Nina June provides a significant and delicious new flavor to Mid-coast dining. With its spectacular setting and ambiance and locally sourced menu of Mediterranean and Italian offerings we have found our spirits and taste buds refreshed and delighted. We look forward to years of enjoying the constantly changing offerings that emanate from Sara Jenkins' experienced hands and knowledge.
